ABOUT
Lisa Barry
I'm Lisa Barry, a freelance production manager, technician, and designer from Dublin, Ireland. In 2017, I graduated from the Stage Management and Technical Theatre course at The Lir Academy in Dublin. At university, I focused predominantly on costume and stage management and began working in the Dublin theatre scene shortly after graduation.
In 2019, I began working with choreographer Oona Doherty as a technical stage manager for her work Hope Hunt and the Ascension into Lazarus. Since then, I have continued my work in the contemporary dance scene working with Ballet de Marseille, Sati Veyrunes and Dovydas Strimaitis among others. I have toured internationally for over five years in Europe, North America, and Australia and have produced work at world-renowned festivals such as the Venice Biennale, Kampnagel Summer Fest, Avignon Festival, and Sydney Festival.
Since 2022, I have been living in France and have continued my work in costume, props, stage and lights, doing what inspires me most, creative collaboration. For me this is the the best part of the job, communal art that could never be achieved solo, a big beautiful machine.
I'm always looking for new projects, long or short term, for an audience of 5 or 5000. Get in touch, I would love to hear your ideas!
